FIELD WARD LUCAS:
Zarek decides to avoid Oli, and hope that Lucas is not near, then make his way back to the Scrap’d Rafter Tavern.
Zarek manages to slip Oli and makes his way back to the Scrap’d Rafter Tavern. There, at around 22:45pm, Zarek speaks with Warble Bandlewagon and finds out that Alley had not returned as yet. Zarek collects the key to their room and goes upstairs only to find that there is someone inside the room rummaging through their gear. The door was still locked and Zarek believe the thief had entered via the window.
Zarek goes back down and outside the Scrap’d Rafter Tavern finds a black knotted rope hanging from their rooms window. Zarek hides down an alleyway by the side of the Scrap’d Rafter Tavern and waits to see who descends the rope.
Eventually a stout, blad black hooded Dwarf descends the ropes, loosening it, retries it and then turns around and Zarek sees that it was Lucas, A.K.A. ‘The Roach’.
“So, one was looking for the pouch and the other was looking for me!” Thinks Zarek. “Everything in the Field Ward has eyes and is will to talk for coin.”
Zarek, braver than he usually feels, follows the Villain and he ends up losing the Dwarf, either from ‘The Roaches’ paranoia or from the Tieflings lack of experience when it came to adventuring. Nonetheless, his persistence pays off and he finds the Dwarf’s trail again and finally follows Lucas to the ’Dhavian Trill Music Hall near Endshift Street. The Dwarf enters the building and Zarek noticed that there were no other criminals at the entrance.
Zarek feels that he should return to the Scrap’d Rafter Tavern and believes that Alley have returned.
“But what if they have her as a result of her association to me, having help me I have out her in serious danger.” Fears Zarek.
